Stanten and six other individuals or companies were selected as winners of the coveted 2015 Innovation Awards in a variety of categories. Each of them will be honored at BFTP|NEP’s premier business and technology networking event, iXchange, which will take place on May 7, 2015 at Lehigh University’s Zoellner Arts Center.
“This is a deeply humbling honor,” said Stanten. “Being an entrepreneur myself, nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit is in my DNA. Altitude started working with BFTP in 2004 – the organization was our first client, actually – and we knew immediately that together our organizations could make a real impact on the entrepreneurs in the Lehigh Valley. Since then, it’s been my personal mission to share my experiences freely with others who are looking to branch out on their own. To be honored for those efforts … well, that’s just icing on the cake!”
Since co-founding Altitude in 2004, Stanten has played an instrumental role in raising visibility and driving business development for dozens of local Lehigh Valley startups, small businesses and corporate enterprises. Stanten also continuously demonstrates his commitment to supporting budding entrepreneurs in the community by hosting guest lectures for Lehigh University’s undergraduate marketing program, as well as for the University’s Small Business Development Center; sponsoring events such as Ben Franklin Venture Idol; and serving on the Board of Directors at Rising Tide Community Loan Fund.
With more than 550 attendees in 2014, Ben Franklin’s annual iXchange event brings together venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, educators, and business and community leaders to celebrate substantial technological advancements, and the people and organizations that devote their work to enhancing the northeastern Pennsylvania economy.
This year, in addition to a networking session and the presentation of the 2015 innovation awards, iXchange will welcome Michael Rogers as the keynote speaker. Rogers, a “Practical Futurist” and author for The New York Times, will discuss the impacts a digital lifestyle will have on the future business world.
