Honoring Those That Have Bravely Served Our Country

While it’s a bit off the topic of marketing, technology or the topics I usually write about, I felt compelled on  this, and quite frankly every, Veterans Day to take a moment to reflect on the days true meaning of the day a give thanks to/for the brave men and women who have sacrificed to make this country as great as it is. Having never served in any branch of our armed service, I feel extremely fortunate to have family, friends and even people that I’ll never know or have the opportunity to meet who have or are currently serving.

I took this photo earlier this year during a visit to Philadelphia. It’s at the Philadelphia Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and I think the sentiment is especially fitting on a day like today.

For those who fought for it, freedom has a flavor the protected will never know.

In honor of the day I wanted to take a moment out of my busy schedule to  honor and express my gratitude to all of the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines that have bravely served our country domestically and abroad. Thank you for your service and sacrifices! And for those of you who haven’t served but may know someone that is or has, please take a moment today to let them know you appreciate it.
