The Communications Club of Muhlenberg College (Allentown, PA) visited Altitude Marketing on October 22 for their annual agency tour.
The club listened to a presentation by Altitude president Andrew Stanten, detailing the work that Altitude does, and what sets it apart from other agencies. The club learned about the many services Altitude provides, from PR to web design and production to international advertising and marketing campaigns.
Club members were able to ask questions about best practices and future career advice. They also met individually with Altitude team members to learn more about their specific positions.
“The discussions we had with the team at Altitude were extremely informative,” said Rachel Albert, president of the Communications Club. “We really appreciated the experience to talk one-on-one with professionals. It was especially great to learn more about careers in public relations and communications, and see how an agency runs on a daily basis.”
Altitude Marketing is committed to giving back to the local college community and offers a robust internship program for interested college juniors and seniors. Relevant marketing course work, a desire to pursue a career in marketing, PR or advertising and tech savvy a must. Successful applicants will enjoy a real-world experience and conduct market research, deploy the leading-edge marketing tactics, update websites, write, coordinate projects and tackle additional opportunities as they arise.
“We were glad to host the Communications Club and interact with a local college,” said Gwen Hoover, the Director of Public Relations at Altitude Marketing. “We are certain that they learned something today and got hands-on experience seeing what the daily routine is at a bustling agency.”
