Altitude Marketing, an integrated marketing agency serving technology-focused B2B companies, is pleased to announce that Chief Operating Officer, Gwen Shields, has been invited to serve as a “Shark” for Discover Lehigh Valley’s “Sweets with Sharks,” the organization’s Shark Tank-like event.
The event will occur on Thursday, June 11 at the Renaissance® Allentown Hotel in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
“I always enjoy helping regional businesses by providing a healthy dose of candid counsel,” said Shields. “Playing the role of a shark in Discover Lehigh Valley’s version of Shark Tank should be both fun and informative. I look forward to hearing the creative initiatives the finalists will be presenting – and helping them improve upon it.”
Shields will be part of a panel of marketing experts that includes Nathan Linder, Creative Director of Adams Outdoor Advertising, and Wayne Barz, Manager of Entrepreneurial Services at Ben Franklin Technology Partners.
The event, which is part of Discover Lehigh Valley’s Tourism Marketing Day, encourages businesses and organizations to share their marketing initiatives on the Tourism Marketing Day website. Participants are asked to share their ideas in tweet format using 140 characters or less.
Three finalists will then be selected to present their ideas to the panel of local judges, or “sharks,” who will discuss the ideas and select a winner. The presentations will occur at 1:15 during Tourism Marketing Day’s “Sweets with Sharks.”
