Altitude Marketing’s Earth Day celebration was really a celebration of our everyday efforts at doing our part.
It was a reaffirmation of our commitment to recycling cans, bottles and cardboard and using as little paper as possible. We strive to be a conscientious office by reducing waste, turning off lights (fun fact: we never, ever have our overhead lights on), and rarely printing. As a very digital office, the ‘use less paper’ part of this has become second nature to us. We closely monitor the heat and air conditioning so as to reduce our electricity usage and carbon dioxide emissions. We know there’s more we can do though and will continue to “green” our office – but keeping the Keurig (with its wasteful individual plastic coffee pods) is a non-negotiable.
Another way we celebrated Earth Day? Toasting to our clients who were named to the IDG InfoWorld Green 15 list, a national round-up of companies dedicated to green technology.
Altitude Marketing client Copernicus Group IRB was named to the InfoWorld Green 15 which recognizes companies who have embraced green technology to drive projects and develop products aimed at boosting energy efficiency, trimming waste, and reducing or eliminating the use or the production of harmful substances.
Two Altitude clients teamed together to deploy a paperless office solution at Copernicus Group IRB — Sitrof Technologies aided Copernicus Group IRB in getting rid of what amounted to a 22-foot pillar of documents per week and becoming paperless.
The Copernicus Group IRB paperless office efforts have saved the organization more than $2 million on shipping, printing, postage, and file storage and eliminated time wasted searching through 5 million pages of documents. Less money and effort are spent on everyday tasks, making CGIRB more efficient and green.
Our clients are models of sustainability on this Earth Day and we congratulate them!
