We're Hiring: Digital Marketing Intern

Altitude Marketing is seeking a digital marketing intern who can bring professional curiosity and devotion to digital marketing to the team – and who will gain an understanding of how to leverage various technologies to drive leads for Altitude Marketing and our portfolio of international clients.

About the Role

The Digital Marketing intern will work with the Digital Marketing Team to support Altitude’s clients, internal account teams, and sales department as needed. 

If you are a flexible team player who is inquisitive, organized, detail-oriented and analytical with a creative bent, you may be a good fit for this paid internship. A familiarity with common marketing technology platforms is desirable but not required.

Altitude is a close-knit group that works collaboratively and our digital marketing efforts are always in service to a broader strategy. Additionally, all of our interns do actual work for our clients, not busy work, and get the benefit of being immersed in a real agency experience.

Areas of Learning

Digital Advertising

During the internship, the Digital Marketing Intern will work closely with DM team members to build and expand on their digital marketing knowledge. The goal is to build your knowledge to create and manage digital marketing campaigns in Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and more.

PPC Advertising: 

  • Goal: Learn the fundamentals of PPC advertising, campaign implementation, experimentation, and optimization.
    • Utilize Google Ads to launch marketing campaigns and monitor campaign performance.
    • Review campaign performance and identify areas for optimization. 
    • Set up experiments to test between bid strategies, ad copy,  landing pages etc.

Paid Social Advertising: 

  • Goal: Learn the fundamentals of LinkedIn Campaign Monitor, Meta advertising, audience research, experimentation, and optimization.
    • Utilize LinkedIn Campaign Monitor to build and launch marketing campaigns.
    • Research and build custom target audiences in LinkedIn’s platform.
    • Review campaign performance and identify areas for optimization.

Marketing Automation and Reporting

During the internship, the Digital Marketing Intern will work closely with DM team members to assist with marketing automation and client reporting such as building dashboards, custom metrics, etc. The goal is to understand the importance of key performance metrics, the platforms used, and assist with building automations for marketing tasks.

Marketing Automation

  • Goal: Learn the fundamentals of marketing automation technologies and build knowledge to explain the processes. 
    • Understand marketing automation platforms and how to automate repetitive marketing tasks.
    • Utilize and build automation workflows and triggers.
    • Check and validate form submissions from different form types with various CRMs such as Salesforce and HubSpot.

Reporting

  • Goal: Learn the importance of reporting on marketing metrics, the technologies used, and make recommendations to improve performance.
    • Learn how to track and interpret marketing metrics using tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
    • Log into data visualization tool to build custom dashboards and custom metrics for client reporting.
    • Develop knowledge to make recommendations based on website metrics, campaign data, and other key performance indicators.
